The Scottish Karate Governing Body will be holding an Open day on Sunday 19th April 2015.

Venue: Dakota Hotel Euro Central, Motherwell.
Time: Drop in anytime between 10am until 2pm.

The SKGB would like to invite local authority representatives, Active School managers & co-ordinators, SKGB members and karate groups outwith the SKGB.

Aim of the open day

To have a friendly and open discussion with interested parties and inform them of the structure and services the Scottish Karate Governing Body have to over offer.

On the day Sportscotland will have representation in attendance and the following SKGB departments will be represented and will be available for informal discussions.

PVG scheme membership

Sport - Pathways
Refereeing - commission
Women’s interests

James Coulter has been awarded 'Evening Times Young Sport Person of the Year for 2014' this is 2 years in a row James has won this and helped promote karate.

He was also awarded a grant from Sports Aid Scotland by long standing sponsor 'The Robertson Trust' charity

For the first time ever, the world renowned Karate coach Sensei Junior Lefevre is coming to Scotland to hold a Kata and Kumite seminar.  This is a rare opportunity to train with and learn from the double World Champion and 9 times European Champion.
