The Scottish Karate do Association was established in 1963 and was the first karate association to be established in Scotland and held the first Scottish National Karate Championships.

Scottish Karate Federation
Association Details:
The SKF was founded on Thursday 17th December 1970, by nine karate students, three of whom are still active members of the SKF, Hamish Adam 8th Dan, Colin Clapperton 7th Dan and Allan Spence 6th Dan. It was originally called ‘Wado-Ryu Karate Committee’ (Scotland).
Today the SKF is the largest and most successful karate association in Scotland. We are members of the Scottish Karate Governing Body, the only recognised Governing Body for Karate in Scotland.

Association Details:
The Shitokai Scotland is a Shito-ryu Karate association providing instruction in both traditional and sport Karate, through its association with other like minded individuals/organisations with similar goals. Since its formation over 20 years ago the Association has endeavoured to excel in all areas. We provide our students with top quality instruction in both traditional Shito-Ryu and sporting Karate practice, dependent on the student's particular area of interest.
